An Education and Research Program
for Tomorrow’s Leaders within Obesity Treatment
European Obesity Academy is a two and
a half years course for young doctors
with a special interest in obesity research
and treatment. The objectives of the program are to stimulate scientific
development, clinical experience and future recruitment within the field of Obesity.
The benefits of the program are:
• Access to an extensive network of senior and junior doctors from more than 10 European countries
• Planning and conduct of clinical and experimental research.
• In addition to the meetings the chance to visit hospitals as an observer, private study, and participation in research projects.
• The program will be concluded with an international scientific meeting at which the projects will be presented. Projects should preferably be pub-lished in scientific journals.
The program will qualify for 15 ETCS credits that can be converted to local country accreditations
if necessary.
European Obesity Academy is a co-operation between Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm,
